General Manager, Lee Prendergast, Keith Simmons
As 2009 comes to a close we offer our best to a long time employee.  Bernard “Lee” Prendergast will do his last regular runs on December  31st. He will be officially retiring on January 4, 2010 but he will not be going too far, because he will be working on Saturdays. Lee has worked for the Transit Authority since June 16, 1979 so with his retirement he becomes the longest retired tenured employee over taking Walter “Gus” Augustus who retired in 2003 with 27 years.

Lee was recognized in 2004 at the West Virginia Public Transit Association Annual Conference as our system’s Driver of the Year. He has been a reliable and good employee the past 7 years that I have been manager. We congratulate him on his many years of service and hope for his good health in years to come.

It has been an honor to work with Lee Prendergast.  His dedication and commitment is something to be desired in an employee.  Lee has served his country through his military service and he has served the citizens of Marion County.  Serving and thinking of others is what Lee does best. Thank you Lee!
